Friday Thread #2

The h, l, t, of HALT is my worst enemy. You want to turn me into a fearful reactive nasty Goat at my worst? Don’t let Goat eat and sleep. The l will soon follow and bring
the pale rider A along for the ride. I know this and I keep letting it happen to me over and over and over again. Still sick and suffering, with a lot of work to do.

As you keep at it, that hard work will feel good.

Can you get decent English breakfast style tea over there? When we went to France I was surprised at how different the black tea was.

Can’t beat home made chai mix!

I’ve never heard of home made chai tea. I guess I could google recipes… but what do you do?

I use Amazon if I want something like Yorkshire or Builders tea, but my local grocery store has a teeny-tiny British section where they stock PG Tips.

… Just wish they sold crumpets and Walkers crisps

Haha the things you miss!

I use this recipe:

Recently I did it without mixing in the black tea, using dried/ground ginger and blending everything up, then just adding a spoon in to a normal cup of tea.

WOW. Thank you. That’s a lot of ingredients :flushed:

… and I spotted something. Later on it says to add hot milk … I’ve always tried chai tea black. Maybe the milk is what I’m missing? I’m going to try it today (adding milk to a chai tea, not making the recipe… I’ve got Christmas cards to write and Christmas gifts to buy :grimacing:) :+1:

Yes definitely, milky is the way to go. I believe in India they call it Masala Chai and they make it with hot milk rather than hot water

I had just been on this thread wondering why no one had commented this Friday evening, it’s nearly six am on Saturday morning for us now. :face_with_monocle:

If the conclusion of your Friday night I’d to not have a new year’s eve toast then I would say that it’s a Friday evening well spent. :+1::+1::slightly_smiling_face:

Friyay!

Surprisingly finished a whirlwind workday early and… Finished! Checked in with some friends who called on me, went to a great meeting.

Now? Netflix and tea time. Lamenting that many fave shows are on break. Perhaps a Christmas movie in my new holiday sweater!

But yeah, there’s only a wee bit of Friyay left even here…

A Christmas movie of the Die Hard genre?

Is die hard a Christmas movie though? :joy::joy:

Trouble-maker!!

Okay on Christmas Day evening I will sit down after my Christmas dinner and relax watching die hard, the only question is should I enjoy some cake whilst watching or a slice delicious pie? Or maybe some tart in the form of a nice piece of cheesecake.mmm :slightly_smiling_face:
