It’ friday and I go home from a 4 day wellness trip with beautiful skin, shiny nails, well-rested and absolutely homesick, missing my cats

Happy Friday. Long weekend here; Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada so I’m off Monday. Pumpkin cheesecake is on the agenda for my weekend plans. Not doing traditional thanksgiving supper but I want some cheesecake 
it’s supposed to warm up this so hopefully finish up the treehouse and get the windows in

Friday! I will clean my house a little today. Visit the cat I am watching this week. Maybe can some apple pie filling. And that’s about it.
I don’t know what I will do this weekend since it’s supposed to rain, but I do know I wont drink, so 🤷.

Got an email from the senior director of our division at work, telling us to knock off at noon today (even earlier for me, since I start early) in anticipation of the long weekend here in the states (monday holiday).
And wouldn’t you know it, I get pulled into a meeting from 2 - 3pm today with folks from another division who hadn’t been given an “early release”.
Oh well. Minor annoyance!

It’s going to be in the 80s today! A last hurrah of summer in October. All plans are scratched for a day outside with my dogs and grilling surf and turf later(I think, wait till I see what the butcher has). Time to soak up the warmth of the sun!

I’m due for a rewatch of the series. Used to stay up past bedtime when I was a kid to sneak watch it, occassionally then being too scared to sleep, haha
Then I watched it start to end about 10 yrs ago. One of my favorite shows. This meme makes me laugh every time.

Yup, same here. My favorites were the really weird and creepy ones, like Tooms, and the funny ones, like the one with Luke Wilson as the sheriff. I also rewatched the whole thing including the movies probably 6 or so years ago. I like to rewatch favorite series’ during the northern winters and now that I have a treadmill I don’t have to feel like such a slob while doing it! I think I’ll start this one up soon, good idea! P. S. That meme is perfection!

Oh yeah, those are great eps. I love the one with the Flukeman, creepy. The occasional funny episode is a nice touch too. I like X-Cops, where the whole episode is shot like an episode of COPS. Lots of laughs in that one.
I generally don’t like sci-fi, but man, X-Files is sooooo much more than that.
I feel like all I do is rewatch old shows 
or getting into old shows that I missed when they were airing originally because I was too young or not yet born. Very few current ones that get my attention, but there are some.

The COPS one, Ha! So good! Yes, it really was so much more. I do love sci-fi though. And I hear you on the rewatching or watching new-to-me older shows. I spent several years while I was working and getting my masters degree without owning a tv much less having cable and would occasionally stream things to watch. I sometimes think I’ve missed out on a lot, but I also like not being tethered to the television.
