It’s a working Friday for me and a working weekend so it’s business as usual around these parts. My next day off is Monday and I’ll celebrate my kitties turning 4.
Yes there will be party hats, yes I will probably be wearing a pirate’s eye patch after I attempt the party hats, yes I’ll take some pictures of those tiny fools.
I’ll also be baking a cake because I just passed 10 months THC free. That deserves a box yellow cake with homemade frosting.
I’ll be sober today and I’ll be sober this weekend. Join me, won’t you?

Its been a good day. I actually have some extra help at work so I’m able to get a lot of side work done. My boss has been giving me some praise so I appreciate that! I’m still dealing with this anxiety but I’m not letting it bring me down. I know it’ll pass. It was a beautiful fall day. I procrastinated on laundry but I did sweep the leaves up off the porch. It’s supposed to rain on Sunday so I wanted to get them while they’re dry. Happy Friday to all!

This is the last Friday night in my alcohol free safety zone for a while.
The boat i will be staying on is alcohol free, so its not a big deal.
Been a busy day. some huge anxiety for some of it, but I am feeling better. Better than the anxiety I would feel if I wasnt in recovery.
Im going to sleep good tonight and hangover free Saturdays are the best!

In some German states, today is a public holiday, so it’s the perfect chance to get ready for the evening. My wonderfully nerdy Halloween party — always beautifully organized by a friend —

(Not me, I’m in the quiet All Saints Day group who celebrate the remembrance of our deceased ones with candles, visiting cemetaries and being grateful)
WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODAY???
Here it will be a working at my pace to clean the house day.
My friend J comes over tomorrow, we cook together as it is her 60th birthday and we will enjoy a quiet walk to honor All Saints Day.
So I WANT it to be nice, clean, tidy and neat. At least in the livingroom/kitchen. Which IS a challenge 
A trip to the vet is also necessary, Missi vomited yesterday all day and is still not feeling well this morning. I’m worried and have it get checked because tomorrow is a holiday here. No risk over the weekend.

I am super excited today. Happy it’s Friday! Happy it’s Halloween! Up and ready to hit the pool soon…just waiting for that coffee to brew. Nothing major going on. Have a bit of work and then horror movies planned for tonight. Planning to do a little Halloween makeup to hand out candy at work 
… We don’t get any trick or treaters here at the house.

I was rushing to get back up to Charleston, I got a text that I don’t have to be there until Monday.
So, I can relax for a moment.
I texted my kids wished them a happy Halloween.
I’m going to keep working on my stuff here.
No holiday funk today. having contact with my kids is huge!
It’s my 313th sober Friday night. Perfect number for Halloween.

This was me a week ago at the haunted house…used some tattoo film to create the eyes. Was great fun.
Today I’m just me with some centipedes crawling in me

It’s a working Friday for me. I also picked up a half shift Saturday from someone who was volun-told she would work it.
I was up way too late talking movies with my husband. It was worth it but I’m tired today. Extra coffee fixes all. Tired from lack of sleep beats hungover tired anyday. Happy sober weekends all.
