I wish I could feel hopeful for you. I have had multiple rug cleaning events that all ended up in tossing the rug. All day or even multi-day attempts to salvage…not worth it. I hate to waste and try not to. I ended up paying more for ruggable brand rugs in some key spots in the house because they are washable and they are so functional. Not cushy or soft. And any time I buy a rug that is thick and plush I just accept that I might have to throw it away at some point. I wish you the best! And my new house is going to need a lot of rugs so it’s on my mind

That’s an idea I would give a try too😁
I have to clean a lot of stuff and use a pressure washer. To get the water out of fabrics I use compressed air. Never tried it on a shag rug but I do clean my mud trap doormates like this and it works. Keep us posted how the story continues

It’s 4:30AM where I live. The day has just begun! All the different time zones and what everyone is doing is fascinating.

Cinco de Mayo today. Pretty big here in the states. Not sure how it is in other countries. It’s basically an excuse to get hella drunk on Mexican beer and Margaritas, eat tacos and have a hangover the next day. This year, I’ll pass.

Tacos do sound good, though.:yum::drooling_face::taco:

Friday afternoon May 5th, National Freedom Day. Lots of festivities around, but I already did therapy today, there are some serious T-storms going around and I have to work the weekend. I’m going to be a boring old guy and stay home with Luna. We’ll have our own freedom party right here. Enjoy your Friday free from addictions all!

There is never, I repeat - NEVER - a wrong time for tacos!

I’m in Tucson and was trying to explain to my Dad (from Ireland, lives back home in Massachusetts) that there’s probably gonna be some ruckus in the neighborhood tonight! :tada::tada:

Time is moving so fast during this house buying process. I can’t believe it’s Friday already! We are waiting on a response from the seller about some repair requests we made and it’s got my tummy twisted in anticipation. We also are expecting rain and it’s overcast today after a gorgeous day yesterday so today has a sort of blah feeling. No big plans, and no motivation to do much! But tomorrow is the farmer’s market opening day and that is very exciting! It’s my favorite weekend activity and favorite time of year. I’ll be on the lookout for fresh local asparagus. Happy Friday all!

It is Friday and it should be my day off but I picked up a half shift. I’m working too much these days. I can’t tell if I am just learning to appreciate money and respect savings for the first time or if I’m hiding. Probably a bit of both. Beats drinking.

I have a few hours before I go in and have my annual physical scheduled. After that I will pick up something tasty from our local grocery and come home to do laundry. My husband has some (probably) hangover induced anxiety today so I will be here for that too. I used to lose days and sometimes weekends to hangovers. I do not miss that one bit. Happy weekend sober ones! :star_struck::nerd_face::mending_heart:
