Please excuse the weeds . That will be something I’ll be taking care of on my days off. Noticed lots of veggies starting to come in on my early walk around the garden this morning.

I’m starting some okra and pepper seeds that I will put indoors for the germination process. They don’t need sunlight for a while and then once they sprout if they do then I will transfer them to a garden bed which I’m going to start working on the frame and everything in a couple days. I already got approved for doing this from the sober living management. I’m probably doing a unnecessary step and I could just put them directly in the ground but I feel like they’ll have a better chance if I start them indoors. I feel like I should’ve got even smaller seedling containers.. honestly I don’t know if I should put more than one seed in these little pots but whatever. Though I have a little bit of experience from years ago I’m still a beginner in my opinion. But you don’t learn unless you do. And I’m definitely doing. If they remain healthy and survive I’m definitely going to have to get some kind of wire fence that I can easily attach and Unattach To be able to take care of them and also to make sure animals do not mess with these vegetables.
If you would’ve told me 15 years ago that I would be growing okra and pepper I would tell you you’re crazy. It’s in my genetic make up to grow opium poppies and marijuana lol but I have about 1000 reasons why that’s not an option anymore Or something I want to do. And for the record I’ve never grown anything like that in my life! Ever!
Got my little gardening station I set up by my door. I decided to keep my okra and pepper seed pots Outside because they actually need a decent amount of heat but they don’t need light for like a week and a half or more. It’s been well over a decade since I grew anything from seed and I don’t remember the majority of everything I learned but I’m going to slowly get back into this. If anybody has any tips about anything related to gardening please feel free to message me or let me know. Thank you so much
Ps: I also have to transfer that calathea plant Into a larger pot pretty soon. That’s the green looking plant with the white lines on the leaves. I think that’s a pretty cool plant and was worth the $15 but I’m damn sure going to make sure it stays alive. Some of the larger plastic and ceramic pots on the bottom of that shelf I found on the side of the road and I have some other ones inside. Where I live I’m always finding gardening pots On the side of the road. From now on I’m going to stop and get any kind of plastic or ceramic pot that is thrown away even if it’s chipped
One of my best jobs was working at this plant nursery years ago and sometimes all I did was transfer plants into larger pots hundreds and hundreds of plants every day. But mostly it was unloading new shipments and arranging it in the nursery. One time the gardening manager had to go on vacation and I had to take care of the whole entire nursery by myself for a week it was stressful because I thought I was going to kill everything but that did not happen. Also sometimes my job was to go to peoples properties and plant flowers or trees. The worst was when were they wanted Stuff planted in really bad parts of the property with crazy roots and stuff everywhere in the ground. Or it would be 100° weather and they would practically be standing over us while we worked! But it’s different when you’re doing it for somebody who decided where to put things.. it was different recently when I had to do it on my own property and I was over thinking if it was going to look good. The truth is I kind of doubt myself but I do have a decent amount of knowledge it’s just been a long time since I did any of this stuff and I will always consider myself a beginner
First rose in bloom for weeks now . There was lots of flowers on all our new bushes during the last heat wave but the heavy rain that broke the humidity knocked all the petals off . Nice to see one again
You may not have noticed that somebody parked on your petunias.

Was dealing with some life on life’s terms stress but came home and found that my okra seeds are sprouting! Sometimes it’s the little things. I guess the peppers still have a little bit to go. I am about to do a quick Internet search and look for more seeds that are good for August, lots of sun and humidity and of course like I said I will do some research but if anybody knows please let me know
@Lisa07 thank you for listening
