Quitting social media was honestly one of the best decisions I have ever made. Screen time average went down from probably over 4 hours to just 57 minutes last week
Social media was literally the downfall of our people, I swear. Proud of you! That’s seriously awesome!
Getting off of Facebook, Tik Tok, and Reddit were three of the best decisions I have ever made. I still use reddit as a resource, but no longer scroll it. This app is my only social media now and it adds to my life instead of subtracting.
Well done and keep it up!
I can only agree with you. I don’t have any social media accounts, and the only social networks I use are Signal, WhatsApp to manage my children’s activities with other parents, and now TS.
Behavior has changed dramatically in 20 years. We are losing our ability to pay attention and something very useful: boredom. Boredom helps to deconstruct the mind, and we addicts really need it.
Bravo for this initiative!
I also think quitting social media was a really good decision for me. I’m only at 141 days without and I already feel less depressed, anxious, and overwhelmed. A tad bit of FOMO is a price I’m definitely willing to pay for those results. Plus so much more time I get to invest in other real hobbies and activities that actually benefit me in a meaningful way like art, reading, and being present when with loved ones!
Glad it’s been so helpful for you and your journey as well! I’m grateful for the opportunity to share a little about how much it’s helped me too!
I quit everything but Youtube and i do not regret.
Hell yeah I’m glad to hear that!!
