Getting over Porn addiction for good

I have made a decision to quit porn for good. I have tried many times and failed every single time but this time I am done with it. Day 13.5 and I m having some urges but no give ins. I will continue this path until this isn’t an issue. I m strong and committed. End of story.
Breaking the cycle by George Collins is a book I keep going back to in order to realize how damaging this can be for me and my family.

Hi Jay, good for you - cutting porn out of your life is a wise choice. I’ve added you to our private thread for men recovering from sex/porn/masturbation - you’ll find a lot of stories there & a lot of sympathy and support.

Hey. I am right behind you at 12 days right now but I’ve been working on this for a couple months. I’ve got it down to were I can go about a month but this time I feel much different. I’m ready not to relapse ever again and I’m going stronger then ever before.
Thank you for the book recommendation, I’ve been looking for books along those lines to keep myself focused each day. A really good book that has helped me and initially jumpstarted me is “like dragons did they fight” by Maurice Harker. It is very religiously based I have to warn but it is very insightful. Personally I’ve found by reading inspiration works each day has helped me tremendously and the least I can do is share what helped me with my problems.

you got this. Just remember that it is Ok to relapse. You have to remember to use that as motivation. Use the horrible feeling you get when you relapse to push further next round. You cant beat yourself up when you loose. Good luck, I can relate and determination to be able to push through relapses is the most important thing.
