Ghost hangover after 90 days

Hello all I am nearly 4 months sober. I am a landlady of a very busy British pub. I’m doing exceptionally well around working with the alcohol. However it’s the smell and I find if I do a whole shift I am then in bed the next day throwing up sweating like a real bad hangover. I know PAWS can be longer than 90 days but is there anyone with advice or someone who has had similar issues ??

I haven’t personally had that issue but I’m commenting here to bump this thread back up to the top, maybe someone else has experienced that.

It sucks! Sorry you’re going through this.

I don’t know about the sickness but well done keeping sober in the pub game. I used to bartend a lot and kind of miss it but there are obvious pitfalls involved. You can probably get a buzz just off the work though in a busy pub. I remember that too from my sober shifts.

I would be grateful to be sickened by the smell or sight of it (but not to be bedridden) :grimacing:

I haven’t experienced it to that level but I do understand what you are experiencing - I run a distillery and am in the UK too. It’s tough being around it all the time doing things like bottling, serving our gins at events etc

It’s coming up for 2 months for me - so well done on double that! And keep going….
