Although I am upset with myself that I had a slip and today is my new day one, I’m also grateful that I have another chance for a fresh start. I’ve had friends over the years not able to make it out of addiction, so I’m happy to still be fighting. I believe gratitude and not reaching out to people and sharing on forums like this were aspects I was lacking before. I know that I’ll have a better chance this time if I try to work with a community.
Thanks for listening.

Gratitude will get you far. I was always told gratitude is an action word. I need to show gratitude by doing positive things in my life, like volunteering, or saying hi to someone who might look sad. Little things like that will help keep you sober.

You’re a warrior. Never let anyone tell you different. Especially yourself.
