so I got news a relative I hadn’t spoken to in years passed away recently due to racism and it’s hit me like a ton of bricks and I’m beyond heartbroken because she left behind close family and friends and kids.
I thank God I have bosses with hearts who allowed me to take the day from work, and then there’s going on vacation to a family reunion this week to a see family member I’ve yet to meet, I’m definitely feeling all the feelings
Oh man I’m so very sorry. That is some hard news to hear. Sorry for your loss. 
Grateful you got some time off. Please make sure to take care of yourself as you process the news / grief. It can come in waves. We are here for you.

So sorry to hear of your loss, and the horrible systemic reason for it. I hope you can find some peace among your peeps on vacation. Ikyk that a drink after so long sober won’t relieve your grief, or improve anything else. Sober sad days, and better days will surely come. Peace
I’m sorry for this terrible loss…I’m grieving too and smoke about It at my sobriety birthday in a meeting and someone told me “ what I heard in your testimony is that over this 3 years you lived loss and painfull time…in sobriety and it takes courage” and it’s true ( I also talked about racism and my militantism. It hurts like hell but one day at a time, and with our loved ones, we will be …ok. Sending you strengh and love ! Lot of courage
