My sister’s Pitbull Viszla cross left for the 
bridge at 10.42am GMT today. RIP Lilly.
I’ve cried more about that this morning than I have about anything in months. She wasn’t even my dog, just my niece doggy, but it is hard to lose animals.
They are the most special thing on this earth 
. Vulnerable and trusting and not to be taken for granted. You never get over them, I swear.

So sorry for yalls loss as well. I had a dream about Rocky the other night and he was snuggling me and doing well. I hope he is wherever he is.

Thanks for the share my friend. I have mentioned before I have lost many of cats from old age in my life of 61 years. We had a Siamese Cat from 6 weeks to 21 years old. I continued to see images of him in our house for a long time. A couple of cat babies were taken suddenly by accidents which seemed even harder to come to terms with. I am so glad for you that you were able to be there until the end with Mavy.
My heart goes out to you and your wife.
PS so fantastic wife is sober.

Never gets easier.
We got 12 urns, more like boxes, nice ones, on our shelves in the bedroom. Mavy makes 13 
3 of our guys didn’t get urns. Just pics.
Every one of them worth it.
Every one of them rescues.
Sucks. He should be out here in the catio with me. He was only 11

Charlie Bear died Feb 2017.
It was one of the most horrendous experiences of my life, he started having mini seizures a few days before he passed then one day I went to bathe him and he died in my arms after a massive seizure. He was 2 years old and a lovely dog.
Took us a long time to process what happened.

Loosing Maverick sucks
I think I’m at the point where I don’t want to not feel miserable about loosing him. Because I know life will go on without him. And part of me doesn’t want it to get easier. Not right now anyway. But it is getting easier. I’m still sad. And that’s ok.
My wife found a great article about why it’s so hard. Actually she’s found a few articles. But this one hits home.

My old boy has reached the end of his lifetime, he turned 19 last month and tomorrow I will put him to sleep. The old, fragile, ill body gives up, I can feel that his soul is already on the way.
He is the last one who lived with my persian, my parents, my exhusband and me. My persian, parents, his sister and a gone friend await him with love on the other side of the rainbow.
He is the sweetest cuddlebug I ever had, a snugglecat all his life.
Maybe he will go during the night. I pray for a smooth transit. He has all my love with him. I love you Tiglat 
This is how I will keep his memory: always on my side, funny, lovely, sweet
