Gym selfies, weightlifting & fitness 🔥 (TW gym attire. Keep rules #6 and #7 in mind) (Part 1)

Well thanks.

My wife says I act like a immature 13 year old boy, it’s a nice compliment

That home gym is badass. I love the kids drawings on the wall for extra motivation to stay in shape. Unless that’s your artwork.:rofl:

I have the same exact sets of dumbbells,. Did you buy that rack somewhere or you able to make one somehow? Mine are just laying on the floor.

Fuck I wish I could draw that good . I think I bought that rack off of Amazon for around 150ish. I have sets of 10-50, 60’s, 75’s, and 90’s on that rack.

Nice bro!! I like the rack for bars too, I’m trying to figure out a setup for my various bars n such, been thinking a wall rack is the way to go.

I just built mine using some 1x6 screwed into studs and heavy duty hooks like these but a little bigger.

Oh I love this!!  I’ve watched YouTube videos on how to make em, but ended up finding some dirt cheap craigslist buys so I never did. It was great prepandemic when you could actually find good homegym deals on Craigslist

V ups with weights

Standing rows w chinning triangle
Incline barbell press
Lateral leg raises
Ab series

Got these posters a lil while back, but recently hung up more of them. As someone whose always trying not to be in a routine I think they’re a good reference for exercises

These are great!!! I am pretty good with my weightlifting exercises but there’s a few that I have to interrupt my music too so that I can go online and review a video of how to do them lol. I’ve been trying to desperately find good ab workouts. I have been doing weighted crunches with dumbbells and lying leg raises. Do u have any advice for what exercises would be good to do? I only have access to an exercise ball and dumbells and a bench

I know that this may sound too easy for you. Walk for five minutes with weight in one hand. Not both. 10 pounds, 20 pounds, whatever you’re comfortable carrying. It will tighten your core. If you have weights on both sides it balances it out, So don’t overthink it and do that.
Congratulations to you on your 200 days, I see that I missed it, I am so proud of you, celebrate each day!

Couldnt sleep so by 5am i decided to do a 6 mile run. You know i like running fatigued and in the heat. Its like there is a clear decision and task to complete, but then as we fatigue those chinks in our armor show, then we negotiate the goal down to our weakness.

Our autonomy begins in our minds, our subjectivity is first put onto our thoughts, not the other way around. I did not want to run at 4:30 and spent a half hour staring at my feet until i won. The second object we use is our body. As I fatigue and pant or feel dizziness my mind bends to my body’s plea to stop and thoughts of comprimize become louder and athough i adjust my breathing and pace to maximize the action i do not become the subject to them, we should never be objectified.

I am sovereign here.

Simone de Beauvoir would call this transcendence: the ability to put our subjectivity onto the world and as humans She would argue this should be absolute and not contingent on anyone or anything other than the individual.

David goggins would just say: dont fuckin stop when your tired, stop when your done!

I love them both lol.

I hope everybody continues to exercise their sovereignty over their mind and their body and their addictions today in every small and large form.

So I basically just snapped some pictures from those posters I love the fact that it’s like 30 exercises you can pick several of them and see what feels good for you. It dawned on me that my buddy used to use bodybuilding.com app which I think is a free app and you can go through different body systems with different types of equipment and I think it even had videos built into the app that’ll show you a little better how to do things. It seemed like it had a lot of bells and whistles for a free app might be worth a check out

Hey thanks kevin!! Really appreciate the workout photos and the suggestion for the app! I will be giving some of these a try and checking that app out.

@Butterflymoonwoman also a good old plank is a very good one and needs no equipment.
