Hey everyone! My husband and I will be hanging at home. He is currently snoozing in his chair. 
We are doing a surf and turf supper, then hunkering down to watch tv the rest of the night.

HNY everyone!
This was my first (since i started drinking as a teen) sober NYE night. Actually i went to bed at 11.30 and listened to the fireworks as i nodded off. It was nice!

Happy New Year to all!
Sober hubby and I are home from a lovely vacation. We are glad to be back in our house with our dogs and a cat. We will have some good food and go to bed early.
2023 has been very good to us. We both enjoyed our sobriety and improved health and wellness. 2024 is bringing us some new challenges with health issues in a beloved family member. We will do our best, one day at a time.

Happy New Year’s Eve from me, I just wrapped up an evening of baking with my husband. It is hard to fathom that we chose to do this and had such a good time! I’ve had a couple sober NYE’s already but this is different, we are focused on an activity that doesn’t involve consumption, but creation. (Well, we will be consuming these things eventually LOL!) We listened to music and laughed and cleaned up after each other and it was such fun. I got to teach him some things, like how to use the stand mixer, and he gave me some new ideas on how to do things. Open, clear minds. It’s 8 pm and we are just finishing up and getting some snacks out for the rest of the night before ringing in the new year. This is what recovery looks like. I’m feeling joyful 
I’m also feeling excited and hopeful for what the new year will bring!
