Having been a heavy drinker for 30 years, 2 years ago I suffered a heart attack, i now have the condition Alcohol Induced Cardiomyopathy, my cardiologist has advised me to stop drinking altogether, at first I cut down, but never stopped, now I am back to similar levels again.
Since then I have had 2 medical set backs, now I have been told to stop drinking or else!!
Going to give this my best shot, general advice here is to take one day at a time, which I will do, here goes day one!!

Life or death maybe try a meeting make it easier ,my doc told me me if i didnt stop id be counting my days , wish you well

Spending a lot of time on here is what has helped me the most 
And knowing it’s not going to be easy at first… it’s apart of the journey. Congrats on quitting!!
