I am trying to get into treatment and I am hitting a wall every time this sucks they I have to detox but the place that does it is not wanting to take me in
Several rehab facilities don’t have nursing staff to watch the detox patients. So in some circumstances getting to a detox facility is the first step. My understanding is a detox center doesn’t turn away someone under the influence. That goes for the rehab centers that have on premises detox. If you are off substances and trying to get into rehab. I’d call the facility itself! The 1-800 numbers are useless. I don’t know all your details but I hope something helps. Another option is to talk to a doctor or maybe someone in your area from AA/NA? Information locally is probably better from those sources. And I think a few rehab centers are struggling at the moment with state sourced insurance vs private. I just saw this case over the weekend.
