Hey Friends Still Sober

Hey all! Still Sober. Long over due check in. For those of you who followed my story, I had a son in 2019. He’ll be 4 in a couple weeks. He has been diagnosed with level ASD (autism) level 2 moderate and a global learning disability. He’s about a year behind. We qualified for all these therapies and he is going to pre K now. Doesn’t really talk YET so it’s been rough. I put my podcast on ice awhile ago. That’s going to be resuming soon. It’s been a wild ride for sure. Just wanted to check in and say I miss you all because I never forget my beginnings or where I come from! Curiously to see how all my old friends and people are doing?

Best,
Jim

Good to hear from you! Sounds like you have some solid support for your son. Some of us old timers are still around. Hope MA is treating you well still.

All good with me. We are in western NC now and my daughter and 9 year old grandson just moved here from MN. Lots of changes, but nice to have family nearby.

My nephew is autistic and had some social delay but underneath he’s really smart and dedicated. It’s challenging but feels good to see their gifts blossom.

Thanks for the update. Glad you’re a sober parent because as you know it can be difficult, especially when you’re dealing with special needs. Been there myself. Sending you strength to get through the trying times.:two_hearts:
