Hi, I am Walnut (f). I’m going through a divorce, its very emotional and im stuck in a rut. I am a binge drinker and i want to stop. I’m using alcohol to blot out my problems and to give me confidence but it is actualy ruining me and stopping me gaining a life for me and my young adult children. I want to be alcohol free as though I don’t drink everyday, I still have a problem with my relationship with drinking. My ex was an alcoholic, his heavy drinking led to me drinking more (my responsibility). I just want to be free from it all. Thank you for reading W🌰

There isn’t a whole lot to it. This group is ultra focused on recovery and the people are amazing. The support is here for you. Unfortunately…. The heavy lifting is up to you. I’m excited for you. Welcome to the community.
Funny how those problems are still problems when we drink about them. Even when we know it. We still drink about it. Then we feel like shit. It’s a powerful cunning and baffling disease this alcoholism.
It sounds like you got a lot to be grateful for when you’re sober. I know I do. When I’m drinking I got nothing to be grateful for. Just shame and misery.
