Well- i had to change my habits and my hang out spots on the weekend. Having a routine, and keeping myself busy with hobbies/things i enjoy helps alot.

I go to AA. When I first got sober & after treatment I went on average to 2 meetings a day for nearly 2 months. Weekends too!

Also being aware of your triggers. What is it about the weekend that makes you crave? Write it down. Then ask yourself what can i do instead that will bring me joy? Write it down. What are the things that i can do now that will help alleviate any stress or anxiety in this present moment. Write it down. Then re read the list and go do those things. Also might be worth learning to be comfortable with saying no the places that are triggering you on the weekends.

Also gentle reminder love- soberity is not an end stop destination. Its a journey. Beautiful journey but it a treacherous, challenging path at times. It something thats takes consistency, change in mindset and lifestyle, and practice.

We all have slips up, that ok. What important IS YOU GET BACK ON THE PATH. And if you arent ready thats OK TOO.

We are here when you are and welcome you :black_heart:

Hello and welcome to the family. Congratulations on your 3 days, that is massive!
You have to put the work in, to get the result out.

You want sobriety? You have to change your lifestyle to make room for it. To welcome sobriety into your life you have to get rid of the things that keep it away. Take stock of your life: friends? enablers? toxic settings? peer pressure?

Personally really important to me is a sober surrounding. My TS family here, my home setting, my gym, social outings that don’t focus primarily on the drink.

Sending you strength :muscle:
