How much do you Sober Time?

In my experience on here, it helps to make connections as well. It’s the sort of thing that keeps you coming back and takes the mind off any cravings.
Just thought.

I’ve just taken a screen shot of mine so I can see how I’m doing in comparison :+1:

I don’t feel as sad as I did now I know that you have a ridiculous amount of read time also. :slightly_smiling_face:
Edit. Wow my life’s have shot up to equal how many I’ve given :slightly_smiling_face:

I don’t know, but there’s a lot of people who are sober and have stayed that way, and they spend a lot of time on here. I mean I possibly spend too much time idk?
At first it was because I was reading and reading and reading. Then as I started to make connections with people it was carrying on conversations. The thing is, people on here, just like in the rooms, know what you are going through. It gives us a 24 hour connection to sobriety.
Just my 2 pennies worth.

Hi @Swam,

I see that you found the answer to your question. :slightly_smiling_face:

I pay attention to others read time on TS.

It can offer a clue on how engaged someone is with the community.

Something I’ve brought up on other threads is the significance of recent read time.

Recent read time refers to how much one has read in the last 100 days. To me, that’s more significant than total read time.

Members that do not have a recent read time in their profile means 1 of 2 things.

  1. The user is new and been with TS for less than 100 days. In this case, their recent read time is equivalent to their total read time.

  2. The user has not been on TS for over 100 days. Thus, their recent read time is zero.

Thank you to @anon12657779 and @anon13078412. You guys offered some great feedback and perspective. Much appreciated.

That averages something similar to mine you have just over twice the amount of read time and just over twice the number of days visited, Geoff’s is much the same. I don’t think that it’s ridiculous it’s perfectly reasonable if you ask me.:+1::slightly_smiling_face:

Mine says 1 day which is a crock of shit because I’m on here multiple times a day every day. Thus is more addicting than Facebook ever was. LOL

This app is the most powerful tool in my recovery arsenal. I don’t think I would have seriously pursued sobriety, if I hadn’t stumbled into this community.

I’m pretty moderate. I try to read more than I speak but I try my best to contribute.

@ReneeAnn that’s probably about right, you have only been a member for approximately 25 days now. In my experience the timer is quite accurate.

I thought you would have had longer than five days m8. You seem to be on here the majority of the time.:slightly_smiling_face:

Yeah, it’s kind of embarrassing.

I’ve been on here pretty much every day. My counter turned over to 49 this morning but it says I’ve been here 48 days. I’m addicted to this forum now and believe especially in the beginning I would have relapsed so easily if it weren’t for the feedback I got on here. Thank you to all of you for the support! Last week I started opening the website up at work and keep it up most of the day so that helps me get through the day and clock some serious time on here.
