I am newly starting my road to recovery from a long lasting porn addiction, also while trying to rebuild the trust and love of my wife of 13 years. She has been asking questions about my feelings towards her while using porn. My gut says I love her and have found her attractive, but she doesn’t belive me because of the porn. Is it normal to feel deep down that you love someone but just let the addiction get in the way?

The short answer is yes.
Our addiction, whatever that may be, takes presidence over everything else.
It is the be all and end all of our life.
They say actions speak louder than words, you’ve got to be able to walk the walk, not just talk the talk 
But, it’ll take time for her to realise you’re seriously trying to beat your addiction.
