I did something different today

I used to come home from work and basically sit at the dinner table drinking for most of the night.

Well, today I did something different and I really liked it.

Instead of coming home and settling in, I went for a long walk. I often walk home from work, so I just kept walking till I had gone for about an hour.

It felt great and now I’m enjoying a NA beer. Tomorrow is double digits (10 days) without alcohol and I know I’ll make it.

That’s amazing for day 10! I was a total couch potato at that time … but we all recover differently… the last three days I’ve been going on super long walks too and I wish I had forced myself to start sooner bc you’re right it does feel really good. I find that walking really helps me too - breaks the mundane routine and releases all those good endorphins! Well done you.
