I made it 67 days sober two weeks ago, and cant get back on that kick… I keep restarting my timer and am feeling so discouraged…
67 days is awesome!! What did you learn, and what are you going to do differently this time??
You don’t fail until you give up. What’s holding you back? Holiday stress, a specific trigger or is your route home at the end of the night in need of an edit?
Things that help me.
Set your intention and set your timer on here. If you drink/use reset the timer.
Leave your wallet at home when you leave the house. Make it hard to purchase your drug of choice.
Evaluate your slips? Did you accidentally buy a bottle of wine out of habit while grocery shopping and then accidentally drink it all before driving to the store for more? This accidentally happened to me many times before I figured out why I kept stumbling.
Seriously though, instead of wondering why you did it pick it apart to see where you are failing. You can’t fix it until you can see it.
Stick with it, sobriety is obtainable.
