Shouldnt folks be more upset that candidates arent better, thus bringing more people out to vote?
With all due respect, I feel itās not OK to not vote.
Our democracy is strong because we have the privilege of voting and having a voice in how our government should run. Itās not perfect, but itās pretty damn good. (With the exception of the last 4 horrific years).
We are a work in progress and Iām proud to be a part of it. And Iām equally proud of you for serving and protecting our nation.
Trump is conservative in name only. The republican party has itās roots in small federal government, strong state government, reduce government spending and taxes, no governmental interference in the bedroom. Trump is none of those things. And, even by politician standards, heās sleazy as fuck. He routinely attempts to force the Justice Department to act on his personal behalf. Heās publicly gone against his military leaders unless they blindly follow him. Heās clearly mysoginistic, racist and homophobic.
Thereās a bunch more of his faults I could point out but Iād probably run out of space. Also, just so thereās no confusion, I was a registered republican until trump.
Me and wifey are in that āuse to be a republican until orange faceā club too. I think itās a pretty big club.
Biden was never my first choice. But heās a good man. And heās exactly what we need over here.
Kamala was very high on my list originally. Also Biden and I graduated from the same law school (I had a higher class ranking, just saying)
Kamala was always high on my list too. I really like Eric Swalwell from Cali. I think he has a great future. He could lead us some day.
Who was your first choice?
Haha saving that photo. Were in the same boat brother.
So many great options.
If Elizabeth Warren was still on the ticket when we did our primary here in AZ I think I was going to go with her.
Love Eric Swalwell but he dropped out early on.
And Mayor Pete was the best speaker out there hands down.
And Amy and Kamala and Cory.
But you didnāt ask me my opinion on all the others. It was going to be hard. Do you vote for the best person? or the best person to best orange face?
I think itās always wise to vote your conscience.
I have a daughter. Iām voting for her future.
I voted cuz our lives depend on it.
When I was younger I also thought my vote didnāt matter and I didnāt vote. This is so fucking different. Itās never been this bad. So many lives depend on this election. Not to mention human decency.
Itās the same over her bud. Just donāt feel there is anyone who represents me. So why bother. Even local. Itās been the same party in local government for as long as I remember. My one vote doesnāt make a difference.
Two thirds if the voters in town have cast ballots. Iām opening the office over the next 2 Sundays so they can do so in person. Itās the counting in the swing states that has me worried. Tired of minority rule.
Thatās another reason why I donāt pay much attention to politicsā¦the way it makes human beings behave towards each other.
Itās sad, especially in the 21st century, that we havenāt been able to put all the rubbish like politics and religion behind us and move forward as a race of united people working for the good of us all and the bio-sphere we are slowly destroying.
Nice
Politics used to be fun. You could have great discussions about the economy, foreign policy, all that stuff. And though people differed in their opinions most of the time there was common ground. Donāt know who killed it for you, but trump ruined politics here. Heās a white supremacist in an orange mask
Gawd damn I miss that man. The world needs him today.
