I hate being told or urged to vote

Shouldnt folks be more upset that candidates arent better, thus bringing more people out to vote?

With all due respect, I feel itā€™s not OK to not vote.

Our democracy is strong because we have the privilege of voting and having a voice in how our government should run. Itā€™s not perfect, but itā€™s pretty damn good. (With the exception of the last 4 horrific years).

We are a work in progress and Iā€™m proud to be a part of it. And Iā€™m equally proud of you for serving and protecting our nation.

Trump is conservative in name only. The republican party has itā€™s roots in small federal government, strong state government, reduce government spending and taxes, no governmental interference in the bedroom. Trump is none of those things. And, even by politician standards, heā€™s sleazy as fuck. He routinely attempts to force the Justice Department to act on his personal behalf. Heā€™s publicly gone against his military leaders unless they blindly follow him. Heā€™s clearly mysoginistic, racist and homophobic.

Thereā€™s a bunch more of his faults I could point out but Iā€™d probably run out of space. Also, just so thereā€™s no confusion, I was a registered republican until trump.

Me and wifey are in that ā€œuse to be a republican until orange faceā€ club too. I think itā€™s a pretty big club.

Biden was never my first choice. But heā€™s a good man. And heā€™s exactly what we need over here.

Kamala was very high on my list originally. Also Biden and I graduated from the same law school (I had a higher class ranking, just saying)

Kamala was always high on my list too. I really like Eric Swalwell from Cali. I think he has a great future. He could lead us some day.

Who was your first choice?

So many great options.
If Elizabeth Warren was still on the ticket when we did our primary here in AZ I think I was going to go with her.
Love Eric Swalwell but he dropped out early on.
And Mayor Pete was the best speaker out there hands down.
And Amy and Kamala and Cory.
But you didnā€™t ask me my opinion on all the others. It was going to be hard. Do you vote for the best person? or the best person to best orange face?

I think itā€™s always wise to vote your conscience.

I voted cuz our lives depend on it.
When I was younger I also thought my vote didnā€™t matter and I didnā€™t vote. This is so fucking different. Itā€™s never been this bad. So many lives depend on this election. Not to mention human decency.

Itā€™s the same over her bud. Just donā€™t feel there is anyone who represents me. So why bother. Even local. Itā€™s been the same party in local government for as long as I remember. My one vote doesnā€™t make a difference.

Two thirds if the voters in town have cast ballots. Iā€™m opening the office over the next 2 Sundays so they can do so in person. Itā€™s the counting in the swing states that has me worried. Tired of minority rule.

Thatā€™s another reason why I donā€™t pay much attention to politicsā€¦the way it makes human beings behave towards each other.
Itā€™s sad, especially in the 21st century, that we havenā€™t been able to put all the rubbish like politics and religion behind us and move forward as a race of united people working for the good of us all and the bio-sphere we are slowly destroying.

Nice :+1::ok_hand::blush:

Politics used to be fun. You could have great discussions about the economy, foreign policy, all that stuff. And though people differed in their opinions most of the time there was common ground. Donā€™t know who killed it for you, but trump ruined politics here. Heā€™s a white supremacist in an orange mask
