Whenever my GF and I go on a trip, I bring my own coffee with me…I need it first thing, I can’t be waiting around to go get it from somewhere.
My usual method of consumption in these circumstances, if no coffee maker is available, is to mix the grounds directly into the water, shake, and knock it back – grounds and all. It does the job but she thinks I’m gross

Maybe invest in a pour over? I frequently travel with one (plus filters and my own coffee). Melitta makes a solid one.

Dude…just chew the beans, and take a slug of water.
Seriously though, I have a backpacking pour-over. It fits right on top of the mug, and has a fine mesh screen permanent filter. Works great.

I just did it twice…at home. I have a coffee maker, just didn’t want to wait for it and this conference calling is killing me. My coffee pitcher from this morning is long empty.
2 scoops of Bustello, pint of water. Stir with a fork, and down the hatch before it settles into goop. It was actually quite smooth!
