I made it trough the day

Second day today and it was verry stressfull, usely i cal the babysitter and go to the shop. Today i didnt. Im so proud of myself, it looks so smal but its feels so big. Im telling myself if i can only make it this week i can make it always. Its silly i know but weekdays are the hardest for me.

This is great. I recently heard: every long journey begins with the first step. And this is so true. With every day you without, you will learn better and give yourself the chance to learn how to live without your DOC. And even enjoy this. :upside_down_face:

This is all that is required of you, just handle today. Tomorrow, you do the same. Hour by hour, make sure you don’t put yourself in the path of your triggers if you can avoid it. Don’t be idle around the time you normally drink. You really need to put the work in to stay out of harms way. Keep in touch when it gets tough, stay supported. This is so important in your early days.

We have every faith in you, you’ve proven to yourself you can manage this day by day. Keep it up, we are here if you need us :heart:

Hey Zora - great job on day 2. It’s not a small step and you should be proud. The beginning is the hardest as you have to first admit you have a problem and then break a habit that’s been forming for so long and in many ways defines you. See - not a small step to start sobriety.

Not silly at all - everyone is different and has different times of the day or the week that effect them the most. You have recognized that it is weekdays for you so hopefully you are doing things to keep yourself busy and your mind occupied when the urges arise. I am so proud of you and you should be too.
We are here so do reach out and keep checking in. At the beginning it is one moment at a time - check out other threads here – this site was a great distraction for me and still is.

The first few days are MASSIVE and the hardest, keep going it gets that little bit easier each day and your self belief, inner strength, courage and determination grows each day :pray::green_heart:

My only goal is to lay my head on my pillow at night sober. If I do that, then I have a chance at tomorrow.
