I’m working towards getting my CDL and trying to better improve me and my family’s life. Getting sober from weed will be so beneficial.
Congratulations on two awesome goals for the benefit of your family!
I wish you the best in your efforts with getting the CDL. I have a couple close friends/ family that drive…
One has a great company job. It’s local routes, decent pay, and he’s home everyday. It has benefitted his family a ton.
The other owns a tractor, and he’s over the road. That’s a challenge, but the income has really been life-changing for his family.
As far as your decision to be clean, that is an amazing decision for your family!
I know you can do it. And, you’re in the right place for support and great advice. Be sure to check in and read around the forum regularly - daily if at all possible.
It may not necessarily be easy; but it surely will be worth it for you and yours.
Wishing you the best!
Tomorrow never comes. I had good success when I started staying sober just for one day, from the time I awoke in the morning until I went to sleep at night. I let tomorrow take care of itself.
There are steps you can take right now to start your sobriety. You can get rid of all your lighters, grinders, papers, pipes and other paraphernalia , for example, and any remaining stashes you might have. You can clean out the ashtray of the car or any other places associated with your smoking.
Your intentions are good. Back them with immediate action and you will be well on your way.
Never start to quit tomorrow
Only quit now.
My mama always says you can do anything you really set your mind to doing. Good luck. Stay connected. ![]()
