Hi all so I’m approaching day 7 and I’m nervous as all hell. I’ve been told that I should find a sponsor but I don’t know where to begin. Any recommendations on what I should do would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Getting a sponsor starts with an AA meeting. Someone there should be able to connect you with a sponsor.
There are different schools of thought on finding one (search the forum for “sponsor”). Some are careful to choose and ask. I’m more for whoever has a bunch of sobriety and can show me how they did it is game. It’s worked for me so far!

Go to a meeting and bring up the topic of sponsorship. It’s like a bunch of 3 minute interviews.

I chose mine sponsor because I thought she had a good handle on the program. She only had two years of sobriety, but that was enough to me. People with more than that intimidated me.
