In-person meetings in East Texas

I’ve gotten a few likes about my sobriety milestone and I’d like to think those who have, but it’s it’s been a long hard road and I’m proud to say that I’m 3,279 Days, but I couldn’t have done it without support, for my family friends and the sober community, which is what brings me to my question, is there anybody in East Texas who’s currently participating In, in-person meetings? I just moved to Northeast Texas and it’s been about 15 years since I’ve been here So I don’t have a large circle; at least sober circle in this area .And sure I could just do a Google search and I have and there are a few but I was hoping to find somebody from this community that may personally know of somewhere I can attend on a weekly basis. I’d rather not just give out my hometown location but I’m near Tyler So if there is anybody who knows anything about this area or is maybe from this area and could guide me in a direction it would be most appreciated, comment or direct message is fine I look forward to hearing from anybody and I think you guys so much for the support, I love this app, I love this community, And I love my life free of drugs and alcohol! Thank you And may you all have a blessed day and at the very least I’ll see you all here again tomorrow.

Tyler has lots of meetings in the downtown area, which is also near some museums and the rose garden. I’m not sure which ones are still ongoing since Covid so google may have to be your friend on this.
As far as making friends, if you happen to like to workout I would suggest camp gladiator. They have group outdoor fitness camps and I made a ton of friends through there before I moved.

@Runningfree: You’re talking my language! Jumping head first into focusing on my health and a daily workout is literally the foundation of my sobriety I don’t know if I would have been able to maintain it for as long as I have if I had not found my workout partners, the power of a sweat drenched workout purifying my soul, the camaraderie, and just the overall feeling of being present! it literally changed my life and I’m so happy to say that; Yes, I am into working out! So thank you for the info I’ll definitely look into it, I hadn’t heard of that group so I’m pretty excited now! I just moved back down here 2 1/2 months ago so I’m still trying to get my bearings but I will make it in that direction soon. Thanks for the info have a great sober day! May the force be with you :weight_lifting_man::man_lifting_weights::weight_lifting_woman:

They have spots they meet up for workouts all over. Longview, lindale, Mineola just to name a few locations off the top of my head. I still work out with them but virtually now since I live in a different state.
You have a great sober day as well!
