So have any of you gotten tattooes to signify your sobriety accomplishments? I’d love to see them! I got this when I first was clean for 2 months. I want to get more!

Does the pain of the tattoo bother you? Or is it somewhat therapeutic? I love it!

Not yet. I’m going to get a small crescent moon on my wrist when I get to one year (it’s one of the symbols of my higher power). Then every year after that I’m going to get a star along the inside of my forearm of various sizes to represent how the year was for me. By the time I’m an old lady, my whole inner arms will be filled!

A friend I met in rehab drew this for me while I was there. Reminds me of where I’ve been and why I’m doing what I’m doing.
