Good read. Thanks for sharing @Englishd.

I like this one.

Expresses how I feel about AA - it is all about the fellowship.

I really liked that article.

Thanks @DrunkNoMore. Good read. And I couldn’t agree with you more. It’s the Fellowship that keeps me sober.
Yes the Steps and my Higher Power GOT me sober. But the Fellowship played a big part in that too.
Here’s an example. I have done my Steps. I practice the principles in my daily life. Especially Steps 3, 10, 11 and 12. I believe I have had a Spiritual Awakening.
All this being said, if I don’t go to a meeting for a week I begin to feel off. Old thoughts and behaivors creep in to my mind. I begin to isolate without even knowing it. This hasn’t led me to a drink or anything but this frame of mind is defo not “serene”.
So does this mean I do the Steps again? No, I get my ass to a meeting. I get right back in to The Herd. My people are there. Newcomers are there. The Fellowship that I need is there!!

This happens to me, when I don’t check in here after awhile.

@Gabe.G we are so on the same page in the same “book.” The fellowship helps makes it much easier for me to remain sober. And I have been very fortunate to have meet indivuals who have become really good friends. It so nice to sit down with someone who truly understands what it like to be an alcoholic.
