Doing this alone rarely ever works so I’m glad you found us. Weekends were difficult for me too. I had to fill that time with sober activities. I found meetings to attend both Friday and Saturday nights that helped immensely in the early days. Changing people, places and things was a must for me.

You have taken the first step by joining this community and reaching out for support. We are unable to do this journey on our own. This is a very supportive community filled with people going through similar struggles. Take your time to read around and join in when you feel comfortable.
Things to help your sober journey -
get rid of all the booze in house if possible or at least put it out of reach
change up your daily / weekend routines so that you are not associating times of day / trips or etc with alcohol.
find ways to keep yourself busy (puzzles, walks, games on phone, sports, hobbies…etc)
join meetings or support groups in real life
possibly talk with a therapist to figure out what is causing you to reach for the drink (what we are hiding from) - may or may not be necessary right away.
Stick around my friend - the beginning is hard but as you stick with it the journey does get easier and is very rewarding!
