I am smoking 25-30 cigarettes a day. I dont drink alcohol for 90 days and i think now its time to quit nicotine. But i will make the process slowly. I am thinking of using nicotine gums. Is it harmful?
i was 60 a day guy i used gum for a few weeks till i stopped that was 30 years ago so they worked for me
I uses smokeless tobacco for 34 years. Tried to quit cold-turkey. Day 3 my brain just refused to function. I bought some 4mg nicotine lozenges. Worked the makers recommended plan, which steps you down over 8-10 weeks. I am now on the 2mg lozenges, about 4 a day. Should be down to zero in a couple weeks.
Thank you all for your help. I am hopeful now. I will do it.
I used to smoke, a lot. I switched to chew about the time I quit drinking. Have you found the need to keep anything in your mouth (other than the very few lozenges a day)? I need to quit but I fear the oral fixation might be stronger than I give it credit for.
Yes, plus I crave the “taste”. I use Smokey Mountain Herbal Snuff. No nicotine. I use it right after I eat, and first thing in the morning. Does the trick.
You can order it on Amazon.
You get that anywhere specific? I cant seem to find any local, and I have heard of a couple of options I can order online. I just don’t want to order a large enough quantity to avoid shipping charges, out of concern I don’t like a product. And I really don’t like paying for shipping.
I order it from Amazon. Search for “Smokey Mountain Chew”. I order 5 cans at a time, for $20.00. Shipping is just a couple bucks. Lasts me about a month.
I used gum for 3 days, suddenly i used 1 gum each day.
1 week later i was free, but then i wanted feeling good so i bought sig… now im hoooked to that shit again
The Great-Wal-of-China-Mart used to carry Smokey Mountain. I guess I was the only person buying it, because they dropped it.
I like the Smokey Mountain because its the only one that has the same taste and texture of my Dip-of-Choice (Copenhagen).
My buddy would carry whole coffee beans in his pocket. He’d put a bean in his lip when he had a craving. Said it worked like a charm.
