Its time for me to stop drinking, its ruining my marriage

Help. I need support outside of the family. Today I need to stop drinking. I quit but 1 day a week, and that day is not good for anyone. Not me, my husband, or my kids.

Have you considered going to AA meetings? There, you will find a lot of support in sobriety. Oh, and…Welcome!

No…i guess i could
I just dont know if i want to go there. Rather do it elsewhere.

May I ask why? What other ideas did you have?

I was going to do it wout going to AA. I wasnt sure that I could find the right place or time. Just wasnt thinking that.

I highly suggest not doing it alone. Alcohol was your solution to others problems and you need to learn how to heal yourself.

Don’t do it alone @Melrm is so right! I love AA and go almost everyday, even when I don’t want to - sometimes those are the best days to go. Not sure where you live, but there should be several options as far as times/dates and different groups.

This would be the ideal help outside your family. The forum is great, but its not as helpful as actually going to a meeting.
