Hello all, my name is Jon and I am new to the sobriety community. I have been sober and fighting the demons since February 2, 2023. I tried this fight in 2021 and stayed sober for 121 days but failed the fight. I have recently realized that sobriety is the life for me and found out that it is easier one day at a time. Any other tools you all could provide to help me with this fight would be greatly appreciated. I am currently in a treatment facility for a 28 day program and get out on March 9, 2023 and severely anxious and nervous of failing again. Thanks for reading and I look forward to sharing with you.

Hi friend! Welcome. The rehab should have a recovery program plan for you when you leave. Definitely need 90 meetings in 90 days or as close to it as you can. The more you engage with others in recovery, the better off you’ll be.

Congratulations on your 25 days. My son did the rehab thing and then sober living. 90 meetings in 90 days worked well for him.
Gratitude is my strongest tool. I start everyday right here. Daily Gratitude, The Air Of Recovery #3 - #1059 by desert_rose Read it. Write it down. Share it. Live it. Without gratitude I got nothing. I found it a great way to ease in to this sober community 3 years ago. Staying active on here getting and giving support keeps me sober. And there’s a lot of other cool fun threads too.
Have a good read around and join in when your comfortable.

Your right in saying it’s a fight, in fact it’s all out war, with a fresh battle every day, but, with help the daily battles slowly become easier to win.
