Does anyone know if AA meetings are usually still in session even though it’s New Year’s Day today? My home group normally meets on Saturday mornings at 11:30. Thanks!

Yes, AA meetings still go on during holidays. I had one this morning at 8am and everyone showed like normal. The holidays are when people need them most so AA never closes.

Back home AA meetings are literally open every day of the year. BUT… if ur stuck and need a meeting there is an app called “In the rooms”. I attend all meetings online at the moment. They have all kinds of meetings on there. Mens, women’s, AA, NA etc. Great app. They have meetings every day at a variety of hours. It’s all free also.

I found intherooms.com during lockdown and liked the soul sister woman’s meetings so much that I still attend even though I’m back to in person meetings. I have the same user name on there. If you see me, send a message and say hi. lol

Oh great! I’ve never tried attending the soul sister meeting. I’ll have to check that out! I usually attend the NA meeting at 11am during the week. I like them alot. I miss meetings actually. But with the way my days are scheduled, I have a very hard time attending in person meetings. I will definitly look for u tho

The soul sister meetings are non specific meetings, all addictions are welcomed. They don’t follow the AA or NA format so they allow cross talk and there are no readings, just the serenity prayer. A topic is posted but you can share about anything. I like how free the meetings are run. It’s a nice change. The Sunday night meeting is my favorite, usually contains a lot of laughter unless someone is struggling then the compassion comes out in every share. I don’t share often but I get so much from just listening.

Took a chance and showed up, and had a nice turnout this morning! It’s all good.
