Merry (early) Christmas everyone! I love christmas time. Please know, i am very respectful of every religious belief, I’m something of an eclectic spirutualist myself, so to those who dont celebrate christmas i wish you the happiest version of your holiday, and if youre not relgious in any way- i hope you have a fantastic day off of work!
I know the holidays can be really hard for a lot of people for a variety of reasons, and sobriety can be hard to manage. To those of you missing a loved one, those that are lonely, those who have traumatic or bad holiday memories, those of you who have seasonal shitty depression: youre valued, loved and not alone. If youre working through something that the holidays are triggering, dont give up. Hold your sobriety close to your heart and dont let it go. I’m always here to talk if anyone needs it.
Last year was my first sober christmas as an adult. It was hard. My family DRINKS for the holidays. But it was also the first christmas my fiance and i had where we didnt fight and ruin it. I’m so excited to have that again. Here is our Christmas card this year.
