Walked in feeling apprehensive and weak. Walked out 60 minutes later with the overwhelming feeling that I can actually do this for the first time in years.
Not for everyone I know, but would recommend you give it a try.

Really happy to hear that everything went well! Ive had alot of good experiences also with counsellors etc and it has been life saving for me. Hope it continues to go well!

Glad to hear!! I started up therapy again earlier this year during some very serious emotional distress. I have done a lot of therapy over the years, but it had been awhile. This is over zoom, not ideal, but I hit the jackpot with my therapist. They are fantastic. It really helps me gain perspective and release. I hope your counseling is equally as therapeutic. Glad you are here.

Thanks. You’ve just reminded me of Rob Schneider in the Adam Sandler films! I actually interviewed him once back in 2008. The interview was going really badly because he was tired, about to leave to go back to the US and he had clearly heard all my questions before. As a last attempt to salvage it I asked him about that phrase and he instantly came to life and enthusiastically told the story. I’d forgotten about that, thanks, made a good day even happier, I’m going to hold that image from now on!

Thanks. I rather cheeily asked the counsellor if she’d ever drank. She told me that, until 2014, she’d been in a really bad way, virtually on the streets. She got sober and turned her life around, now she’s helping others do the same. That sort of stuff is so inspirational and really helps.

It is a wonderful thing when we get another chance at life. It is never too late to change the road we are on.
