Just dusted almost my entire house as a distraction... I HATE the smell of pledge now

Every day I have a list of things to go thru. I don’t go thru them all in the same day as it’s for the week, like mow the lawn, clean windows, vacuum upstairs or downstairs, mop downstairs, clean cat room, clean my room… Etc bunch of things. Then I have “Dust A Room.” singular

I live in my parents house I grew up in. They live at the cabin. I live down here paying them. My dad used to clean the house all the time. Since he lives at cabin now for years, nobody really has cleaned the house.

My mom does on occasion a little here or there when she’s down here checking in on me (which used to be in the throws of opiate withdrawal…).

So I started in 1 room, sprayed dust cleaner and looked at the paper towel after wiping those surfaces only dust gets to… It was solid black…

I had an issue with that as I’m a clean freak at times. And since sobering up I need to keep busy with something…

3 hours later…
3/4 can of pledge later…
2 rolls of thick paper towel later…
3 hours of Hulu binging “60 Days In” at loud volume to hear…

The house looks so shiny from pledge that if pledge is flammable to a spark… well… I guess it’ll just go up pretty quick. Every wooden surface is polished now. I don’t think anyone has done this in years…

I even think it’s a slip hazard if you lean up against a door LOL

Which is odd since when I was on opiates everything is fun so cleaning doesn’t seem as bad. I guess I never dusted…

SHINY!!!
