Kindness found in AA

Last night I went to a new group with a new friend/sponsor. I had hoped to get my 30 day chip at my home group on Friday but the room flooded and it was cancelled. I thought I would collect my 30 day chip last night instead but they were so sad to tell me they had no more right now! They were very happy for me though and I was good with that, then at the end when they did milestones, someone who got their 30 day chip last week passed it on to me! Was so touched.
I have never felt welcomed or included anywhere in my life the same way I have at AA meetings. It’s quite special. Grateful to have given this all a try for my sobriety.

I’ll echo that all day. If not for the fine folks in AA this simple alcoholic would be dead. Hugs from here and congrats on your month of sanity!

We must not keep what was freely given to us. Simply pass it on.
