Learning to heal

Some triggers might be best avoided but not all. One day you’ll be able to go out to eat, maybe sit at the bar even, without being triggered. One day you’ll be able to go to a concert without being triggered. One day you’ll be able to go an entire day without being triggered no matter what you do. Until then if you still get triggered by things know it is absolutely ok. It’s how you deal with it that matters.

So true for me! What was difficult for me and avoided at all costs in early sobriety (dinner parties, dinner out, festivals, vacations, bbqs, parties and get togethers, etc etc etc) are all simply part of life now and hold no triggers 3 years later. :yellow_heart:

I’m also able to concurr with @SassyRocks here.
All those things in the OP I’m able to do without worrying about getting triggered.
Why?
Because I don’t drink!
