When I select a link to a topic it seems to land me either where I was last reading (OK, understandable), or just sort of randomly in the middle. If I haven’t visited a topic, I would like to be linked to the latest entry when I select it. Thanks.
I did not know this.
Also, clicking the text puts you at the *oldest post you haven’t read yet. Which may well be the first!

start old man rant. This is another example of the annoying trend in UI/UX design to create an interface mechanism that has not been widely adopted and just let users stumble across it. Kids these days don’t know how or just don’t want to create documentation or even use conventional tools. E.g., why not use the + symbol to expand or collapse a thread, or put a ‘first’ and a ‘last’ button in the jump to section?
