I got the news today of another old friend who is lying in hospice, unresponsive, expected to die in a few days of liver failure. This is the sixth friend of mine to die of alcoholic liver disease. But it’s not just the dying. The first time he went into rehab was in 2010. That’s a lot of pain, and his family and friends struggled right along with him. Thank you to all of you who hang out on this site, offering your help to those in need. And to all of you on the sober journey, I wish you all the best. This game is for keeps.
