Looking for a sponsor, local or distant? Pros n Cons (not the obvious)

As the topic says, im looking for a sponsor here in Indianapolis, IN. I’m not against having a distant sponsor, what’s your opinion on that?

To me, sponsorship is a pretty personal thing (for both) much better done in person. Or at least locally. I think folks on intherooms.com might do online sponsorship though.
