I have always struggled with sobriety. I am almost a month sober. Every time I get sober I’ve found that boredom was my biggest trigger! I have been an extreme couch potato & alcoholic for the past 10 yrs.However,I recently started doing some fun art work with my 8yr old nephew. I found myself so relaxed without any stress and a giant smile in my heart. I am def a beginner but I could spend hours creating different things! This has opened up a new world where I feel joy to be alive! Now I’m tye dying clothes and having a blast! I would love any suggestions/ideas for more fun with art!

I found Arts and crafts very soothing! While in treatment my room mate and I spent many hours making friendship bracelets and collages! I also got into making wreaths 
Pinterest is one of my favourite apps!

Get an old Mr. Potatohead and make it ridicules, paint it up, put make up on it, playdo is fun, used legos (or new but they are expensive), big map of the world to color in the countries (you can print it out on multiple sheets of paper or find something similar to buy online), gundam robots are really fun to build you can order those online too…

Painting stones! You can get acrylic pens which I find much easier than a paintbrush.

I am thinking about getting into oil painting. I’ve started reading and yoga, but I need something more hands on to keep me busy. I love painting like rooms and stuff so I’m gonna give regular painting a go😊
