Looking to speak to someone who works in sales

currently in a call center sales position, i’m one of the top reps in the office. but the environment is completely draining me. higher ups are rude and inhumane and i have bad blood with some of my coworkers i used to consider friends. in the long run i want to have time to focus on service rather than being stuck in the 10-7 workday.

the income is great and i can’t really deter from that right now. make around 1-2k a week right now, signed a 4k/month thinking my 3-4k a week income would be consistent. but id like to start working on switching positions now while i pay off the lease, which ends in february next year. because my income is very commission based i kick myself when my sales aren’t up.

id like to slowly use this time to transition into a field of work i can use my skill set for, where income is relatively consistent, that allows for time for service and play, and does not make me feel stuck in an unsupportive work environment.

any advice?

customer service here. not sales, but i feel you on the draining environment. I’ll try to bring the sunshine with me every day, but almost every day its like sandpaper on my brain.

My friend transitioned from sales to insurance. She seems to like her job more than the last, but of course, still stressed.

As you seek and find another position, if you can afford it, relax a little and conserve your energy to paving your future.
