Welcome to TS. :upside_down_face:

I can assure you that this equation is indirect proportional. It’ll get easier the longer you are free from your doc!

Congratulations on 4days that’s a big deal the first week was difficult for me to maybe try finding a AA or NA meeting to attend I always feel better when I leave them also something I learned in rehab is H A L T it stands for hungry angry lonely and tired when you are feeling down ask urself if you are hungry if so then eat something if you are angry maybe try working out or going on a jog or hit a punching bag to release the anger in a positive way if you are lonely call someone or go visit a friend or family member and if tired try taking a nap hope this helps keep up the great work sobriety is so worth the work

Welcome! Day 4 is huge in my book so kudos to you!

So proud of you Hun it gets easier take things one day at a time even one minute at a time if you have to keep coming congrats

Welcome, you are in good company. The title of your thread…a lot of us felt.

Here is the good news…every day sober, it gets easier…it may not feel like it now, but it gets so much better.

Stay active here…pick us up before you pick up your DOC

The good news is, it is completely normal to be low, depressed, discouraged, and scared at day 4! I know I for sure was. Your brain heals over time

Being only a few days separated from your drug, it still has a big effect on your brain. Get to an AA or NA meeting if you can! It is the best way to stay sober.

Additionally, if you are lucky enough to have health insurance, 30 day residential rehab stays will change your life.

Congratulations on day 4. That is four days of choosing not to zone out and to stay honest and open in the present time. It does get easier but there is no easy solution to today. Watch a movie, take a nap, feed your body yummy food or if you have to be in public just do your best not to scream at strangers during this hard time. The only way out is through but I can tell you that sobriety is worth it. I’m proud of you, keep going. :muscle:t3:
