The maintenance has been completed. Talking Sober’s server has now been upgraded and has about double the resources it previously had. It’s much more powerful now!
Along with the maintenance, the software that the forum runs on has also been upgraded. It’s now running the latest version of Discourse. Unfortunately, the chat plugin that we’ve been using has not yet been updated to work with the latest version, so it has been disabled for now. I’ll re-enable it when it get’s updated.
All of this work in the background going unnoticed by us… I never knew it takes so much effort /skill to run an app… I imagined it to be like facebook… Obvs not
Facebook employs approximately 17,500 people…a tad larger enterprise…imagine the inner workings keeping FB afloat and updated behind the scenes. Boggles the mind.
