Alright F?
I’m with Yoda on this one. Just cus we are sober doesn’t mean the fun has to stop.
Thing is I’ve found things to do on my own that I enjoy as you are right it’s not much fun at the end of the night when everyone is pissed.
I’ve often picked my wife up from a girls night, it’s not a pretty sight and I really don’t miss it.
No, I go wild camping and walking and enjoy the outdoors with my dog.
Saying that, we still go to the gigs together and have had the odd night out in the local, but as Stevie says, I don’t drink.
But I still have fun.
I just enjoyed a tall cold one with my ten yr old stepson…IBC cream soda is our beverage of choice…he loves popping the caps…then we went biking a bit we’re both skinned up, healthy and laughing.
My GENUINE fun has just started!!!
Bar…lonely people, same clothes, same shit stories, vomit, chain smoking and clpd…thank my GOD!!!
At first I COULDNT GO THERE…NOW I WOULDNT GO THERE.
I just went to my first wedding sober when literally everyone was drinking, one day shy of a week sober… it was uncomfortable but I still had fun! And I stayed away from alcohol! Do any of her girl friends have men in their lives that you could possibly connect with? It may be worth a try!
When we want to do what others seem to get to do, this is the answer God has given me:
The lie I tell myself is I want to drink & drug.
The truth is I am blessed to be an alcoholic. Because it led me to AA which led me to the Big Book which led me to God.
