May Cause Miracles (book)

Finished day one today. It was very emotional realizing and witnessing my fear in action all day today, then taking inventory of them tonight. Just listing them and answering the questions on how they affect me and what triggers them was tough, but I do feel better. Especially after doing the meditation time. I had to look Gabrielle up on her YouTube channel to find all her meditations. Overall glad I decided to buy this book and participate. I feel hopeful about the process.

My fears today: getting called on in a meeting and speaking. I didn’t stumble even though I was nervous as hell. I walked through the fear and took a breath of relief. The miracle: I handed out chips at the meeting for different lengths of sobriety. 3 newcomers with just 1 day…it was awesome. My perspective: None of this about me so what did I really have to fear?

Just wanted to say again how happy I am to be a part of this book club. It really is helpful to be able to connect with others struggling with addictions too, especially alcohol. And I am glad you guys decided to go into March with this book because I’m only on the 3rd day exercise today. Rejection, self-loathing, and shame are 3 of my biggest fears I’m facing and learning to release and choose love instead. Hope everyone has an awesome day! Ash

Today I could use a miracle- just lost two beloved pets to a horrible and traumatic experience and sitting next to and cherishing my other two dogs as I sit here ready to open February’s book of the month for the first time in hopes of a miracle.

Okay, I’m totally stoked on this months book! I love the ā€œ40 day commitmentā€ reasoning! Especially since my sober ā€œmonthā€ consists of 42 days (42 being the mathematical equation of a rainbow :rainbow:)

Reading her stuff about synchronicity made me think of one of my favorite quotes;

ā€œLoving energy supports the flow of transformationā€

I love when people share their favorite quotes and excerpts… maybe we could include the page number? Some of them I wanna go back and highlight because either I missed them or I’m not there yet. I eb and flow in terms of speed reading

Hahaha love it! That will be my daughters for sure, although, I’m officially retiring my camera! It’s another ā€œtriggerā€, those hours editing … nope, can’t do anymore

Very nice! I always love to see a person/face on the forums. But I understand that anonymity is a factor. (for me as well).

Just getting started and finishing day 1. But I liked this quote and feel like this is what my sponsor told me to do.
ā€œWhen you release your fears through prayer, meditation, affirmations, and the daily unique practices throughout this book, you’ll be guided to transform those fears into love.ā€ (p. 23)

Learning forgiveness today on day 5, found a great quote that I added to my miracles journal.

"Faith is rising up like ivy,
Reaching for the light,
Hope is stirring deep inside me,
Making all things right,
Love is lifting me from sorrow,
Catching every tear,
Dispelling every lie and torment,
Crushing all my fears. "

Today I am willing to witness my fear, I am willing to see love instead, I choose love over fear, and I will release all littleness and limiting beliefs and choose gratitude instead. I’m ready and willing to learn forgiveness today!
