A NYE message from the Irons! Happy New Year everyone!

“So understand
Don’t waste your time always searching for those wasted years
Face up, make your stand
And realize you’re living in the golden years!”

Insatiable weakness
That reaches forever
But forever is known
Not known for forgiveness
Forgiven for filth
Filth in injections
Injections of Wealth
From a world I can’t see
Playing with liquid
Liquid corrodes

It’s the scene of a lifetime
You’ll be chained at the coming hour
You did what you wanted
At a pinnacle of power

It soothes your soul
When you cross that line
You chose your role
You crossed that line

The play of a lifetime
Alone in the looming tower
You wait for a life line
Foundations crushed

Opportunist fucks enslave you
Enslave and bind

Nice. Chelsea Wolf is great! Try Anna Von Hausswolff, Menace Ruine and Children of God by Swans if you like this kinda thing :+1:

You’ve got me thinking about metal bands with female singers now. These are my favourite.

The singer Runhild Gammelsæter was 17 when this was recorded. Still blows my mind. Incredible. Now a professional Biologist

That’s crazy! Wow, I want her to take a blood sample or give me a prescription with that voice! :joy::joy::joy:

One of my favs.

Hunt the dinosaur
Destruco!

I have been massively getting back into Black Metal the last few weeks. The Scandanavians did it best with Darkthrone, Burzum, Mayhem, Satyricon etc.

Oh and Meshuggah are probably one of the most important bands that ever did live.

He is an interesting character for sure. It tends to be one of those genres that people either love or hate. Understandably aswell

Im a massive black metal fan. Buying A Blaze in the Northern Sky when I was 18 is a defining moment in my musical life. I was obsessed with it! And you’re right @anon84416494, the Scandinavians certainly set the blue print for what the genre is widely known as now. Id add Carpathian Forest - Through Chasms, Caves and Titan Woods into that list aswell. Incredible album. After years of digging around I’ve found that there’s pretty much awesome BM bands from anywhere you can imagine, the most unexpected places. It certainly travelled far and wide :+1:
